Gospel of John Chapter 19:28-29
After this Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said, “I thirst.” A bowl full of vinegar stood there; so they put a sponge full of vinegar on hyssop and held it to his mouth.
Reflection:
What do we thirst for? Jesus invites us to thirst for righteousness. He invites us to thirst for the kingdom of God. He invites us to thirst for those things that are eternal. He invites us to thirst for that which always satisfies – God’s love.
